Do you prefer to Love or to be Loved?

Me? I’m a Lover. Why? It’s simple. I’m a coward. It’s easier to Love. It’s far simpler for me to give Love. What? It’s true. As long as I’m giving of my Love than the focus is on the individual who is receiving the Love … not me. Mother Teresa once said, “The success of Love is in the Loving – it is not in the result of Loving. Of course it is natural in Love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.” To me, the relationship my ultimately fail, but if I give of myself … if I Love as I know I can Love … then my Love has had value. It has meant something to someone.

Those individuals who can answer with 100% honesty that they prefer to be Loved are much braver than I. Robert Frost wrote, “Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.”There is some truth in that. We all want to be Loved. However, to truly allow someone to Love you all barriers have to be dropped. Walls must be broken down. You must allow yourself to be vulnerable. I detest my vulnerability. Again, I am a coward. I don’t like to let people in. I am worn out. I am tired. I am jaded. I have been hurt one too many times. I have misjudged what Love really is one too many times. Ultimately, my inability to let those who would Love me into the deepest core of my being will result in my loss. Who knows what I will miss because I allowed myself to be caught in the ‘Illusion of Love’ too often.

Do you prefer to Love?
“Because when we Love, we always strive to become better than we are.”
~Paulo Coelho

Do you prefer to be Loved?
“You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.”
~Barbara DeAngelis

You decide.

“Love is as much of an object as an obsession, everybody wants it everybody seeks it, but few ever achieve it. Those who do will cherish it, be lost in it, and among all, will never … never forget it.”
 ~Unknown
“You know when I said I knew little about Love? That wasn't true. I know a lot about Love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind Loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that Love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I Love you. Is this Love, Tristan? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no fits. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you Loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.” ~Stardust, Film

YOU MOM

By Annisa Hudani, the first grade student of SMPN BERNAS Pangkalan Krinci.
Editor: Rita Endriyani, S.Pd.

You taught me to hold
Tears pouring rain
To always be patient in the trial
Prostration and kneeling to the Lord
You couplet formed by prayer
Take care of the crime
Sweep me away from the dust
That will make me fall
You are an inspiration in my life
To sweep the obstacles
Patience and care to create

You are a hero throughout the ages

FOR YOU MY FRIENDSHIP

By Feby Junia Putri, the first student of SMPN BERNAS Pangkalan Kerinci.
Editor: Rita Endriyani, S.Pd.

I live with you friend
Like diving
With open eyes
Stinging my eyes
Look big fish swallowing the small fish
Exposed mud, threatened blind
But my hear is lighter than air
And though my body sank
My soul will return to the sky
To bring you this poem

For you

THE LUCKY TREE

By Nurul Izzah Aulia, the first grade student of SMPN BERNAS Pangkalan Kerinci.
Editor: Rita Endriyani, S.Pd.

Thermometer in my home showed 39 degrees Celsius. Unusually hot, my shirt was wet. However, I turned on the fan. I told to Mom that I wanted to go swimming. My Mom knew where I would like to go swimming. I carried my bag, and then I go to my neighbor to pick Alice up. Then, we went to the swimming pool that was behind our house. The swimming pool protected us from the heat by its roof, and there was a tree around the swimming pool. There are apple trees and lemon trees. We made an apple pie and lemon juice while harvest time was coming.
“Come on Alice!!”, I said to Alice while I was preparing to jump to the pool. “Wait, wearing sun block first to keep your skin not burn”, said Alice. After that, we jumped together.
In the next morning, I went to Alice’s home. Today was a harvest time, so we planed to make apple ice cream and lemon juice. We took two hours to make them. After that we brought them under the tree and we ate there. Then, we small talked each other. We thought that people who live in this complex was so lucky, because they could feel fresh because of the trees. Besides, trees could prevent the Global Warming.

MYSTERIOUS BLOOD

By Gabriela, the first grade student of SMPN BERNAS Pangkalan Kerinci.
Editor: Rita Endriyani, S.Pd.

Hi, I’m Grace Morgan. I study in Junior International School. There is a forest near my school. In the forest, there is a small river that we usually call “River of Death”, and beside the river there is a cottage and the son who has an ugly face.  We call him “confuse son”. Every son who plays in the river will surely drown. But confusedly, there is much blood in that cottage. Firstly the color of the rivers is brown, and suddenly it becomes blue, and then changes again to brown. “Let’s search what’s going on there”. I say. “Come on” says my friends together. On Sunday we spy what’s the son doing?’’. But we don’t see the son today. “Maybe he tries to find the new one” I say. When we come in to the cottage, suddenly he is over there, and then we yell and go out soon. When I look back, he is drinking red water. “Guys, he is gosh. I see him drinking red water. “Really??” ask my friends. We decide to come back to the cottage, and we still see the son drinks red water. We try to brave and ask him, “What are you drinking? Is that blood?”, and then he replies “who says this is blood, this is strawberry juice”. Briefly, gosh story in that cottage is not true, and now they are friend with the son.

TO MY BELOVED FATHER

By Anisa Luthfiah Zulfa, the first grade student of SMPN BERNAS Pangkalan Kerinci.
Editor: Rita Endriyani, S.Pd

Father…
Every second is precious for me
being next to you….
Light like I expected
Although it’s not beautiful like a strain voice of mother’s love
You still sustain me with a tone of sincerity of your heart Dad…
The tears streamed down
I remember when you cuddle your heart
I remember when you are strong
Father…
Although you are not as mother’s love
But you are like a stone
You will survive
Getting a risky
Just for me
This poetry is dedicated to my beloved father “I LOVE YOU DAD”

God
How the earth can save water supply
If human still behaves contempt
And only think about their own selves

Insomnia in Love

"BECAUSE I CAN'T SLEEP TIL YOU'RE NEXT TO ME..NO I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU NO MORE ..OH I STAY UP TIL YOU'RE NEXT TO ME..TIL THIS HOUSE FEELS LIKE IT DID BEFORE..FEELS LIKE INSOMNIA…" –FROM INSOMNIA BY CRAIG DAVID

There are numerous things why someone can’t sleep at night. Maybe you are thinking about someone or someone is thinking about you.

Gosh you can’t sleep!. After a whole day of work, still you couldn't sleep. It’s twenty past twelve already and you tried all stuffs, you could think of just to fall asleep. But not even a yawn came up. Maybe it’s because there’s someone that comes in your mind more often lately. But you wanted to sleep, and you wanted to just continue whatever that was into a dream. Remember that You can’t sleep that well either, if there’s a person in one corner of the world strongly thinks about you. Not until both of you decided to continue thinking about each other in your dream.”

Then, you will say "It's so damn true!!"....Well below is an explanation about this...read it guys!!

Thoughts and Feelings Intertwine

Do you know that neuroscientists have discovered special cells in the brain, called mirror neurons? These cells instinctively create brain-to-brain links between people. It’s like a human WiFi neurological system, which allows special connections between humans. This means that our brain waves, chemistry and feelings can literally mirror the brain waves, chemistry and feelings of those people who are in our thoughts. Like linking within our hearts and minds – the thoughts, feelings and energies of people we love and admire.

That’s a fascinating discovery! But of course it may not happen all the time. It may not apply to everyone, especially if there’s a broken link. A person with a brain that lacks an active mirror neuron system may find it difficult to establish emotional links with others.

I think it happens when you believe in the power of it. That’s when the emotions intertwine and come strongly alive.

A Woman

A woman is not an object. She is not something; she is someone. You treat a woman with respect. She is not your toy. She doesn't owe you anything just because you are a man. When she comes to you for comfort, you listen to her; you don't make a move on her. Grow up and start treating women how they deserve to be treated.

Workplace Bullying

Hallo guys, have you ever gotten a bullying in your workplace??

A workplace bully makes you feel uncomfortable at work, for example it comes from your boss or your partner at work. Maybe this is your first job, therefore this is your first experience. You give your best for your first job, but sometimes it doesn't run well as you think. Then, people around you directly intimidating or bullying you with some acts or speeches that make you feel uncomfortable. I've ever felt it. Someday, I  was asked to coach a student to follow storytelling competition. I gave my best, and I did well I think. But, someone said to me that what I've done was so so. There were still many false, such as pronunciation, and expression were still bad. These were always said to me. Then, I thought that what I've done was nothing. It made me down. Can you feel that you gave your best, and you worked hard for it but people around you  did not respect it.

Well guys, don't worry about workplace bullying in your first job. Positively, it will build your personality. It can motivate you to do something well, well, and well. Just enjoy your job, and never give up guys!!

You are What You Learn

If all you know is how to be a gang member, that's what you'll be, at least until you learn something else. If you become a marine, you'll learn to control fear. If you go to law school, you'll see the world as a competition. If you study engineering, you'll start to see the world as a complicated machine that needs tweaking.

I'm fascinated by the way a person changes at a fundamental level as he or she merges with a particular field of knowledge. People who study economics come out the other side thinking a different way from people who study nursing. And learning becomes a fairly permanent part of a person even as the cells in the body come and go and the circumstances of life change.

You can easily nitpick my definition of self by arguing that you are actually many things, including your DNA, your body, your mind, you environment and more. By that view, you're more of a soup than a single ingredient. I'll grant you the validity of that view. But I'll argue that the most powerful point of view is that you are what you learn.

It's easy to feel trapped in your own life. Circumstances can sometimes feel as if they form a jail around you. But there's almost nothing you can't learn your way out of. If you don't like who you are, you have the option of learning until you become someone else. Life is like a jail with an unlocked, heavy door. You're free the minute you realize the door will open if you simply lean into it.

Suppose you don't like your social life. You can learn how to be the sort of person that attracts better friends. Don't like your body? You can learn how to eat right and exercise until you have a new one. You can even learn how to dress better and speak in more interesting ways.

I credit my late mother for my view of learning. She raised me to believe I could become whatever I bothered to learn. No single idea has served me better.

Students concerned over national exam delay

The delay of this year’s high school national examinations in 11 of the total 33 provinces across the country has left students and parents confused and disappointed.

Students in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and Gorontalo expressed their concerns over the issue since they only knew about the delay on Monday.

NTB and Gorontalo are just two among the 11 provinces facing a delay for the national examinations, which started on April 15.

The other provinces are Bali, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi.

The government has failed to distribute materials as scheduled or three days before the exam to allow for all provinces to simultaneously begin the national exam. As of Sunday afternoon, no shipments of the overall exam materials had arrived in the 11 provinces.

Education and Culture Minister Mohammad Nuh announced that the national examinations for the 11 provinces would start on April 18.

How will be the world in 2020?

Now, the world has modern technology. It's really helpful. Human can do anything in their daily life easily. Nothing's impossible right now. How far away some places, it becomes closer now. Besides, People can communicate easily by using modern application in the internet. For example, they can communicate each other not only by using cellular phone, but now they can use some applications such as Facebook, Twitter, We Chat, What's up, Line, KakoaTalk, etc. These are really booming now. Every time, everywhere, and whenever people people can do it. How will be the world in 2020??? maybe in 2020, people in Indonesia feel having a neighborhood from the United Stated. Next their home is American people. Wowww, this happens because they can communicate easily with their friends in the United Stated, they can see their face each other closely. In short, modern technology can be a God in 2020 if people think that technology is everything form them. Technology always help them. Therefore, people beg to modern technology.

You're not Teenager Anymore

You know you're not a teenager anymore when.........

  • You have to wake YOURSELF up!!
  • You have to cook some meals
  • You do your stuff by your own self
  • When you think that going to bed at 12 is "early"!!
  • You have a saving accounts
  • A spot is not the end of the world
  • When a quiet night in is something to look forward to
  • The past can't be changed but the future is whatever you want it to be
  • The last, when someone ask you "when will you get married?" -_-"

Teaching is Art

Are you "born to teach?" No, I'm not. Firstly, I think that being a teacher is not my ambition. But now, teacher is my job. I can't say anymore that I'm not born to teach. I love teaching now. Sharing my knowledge to my  students is one of my happiness. I try to be a good teacher. Some of characteristics of good teacher I follow, such as :

  • creativity, energy and patience.
  • teaching by using game to attract the students.
  • using digital learning tools and technology.
  • having a good management class, the class is enjoy and fun to avoid stress.

Maybe some of you think that being a teacher is easy. That's not easy as you think guys. You can't be a favorite or good teacher if you can't develop your skill in teaching. You shouldn't make your students scary about you, but try to make your students care and follow your rules in the class. If the students are scary with the teacher, they will not like with the subject. Therefore, their score for that subject will be low. Well, as a teacher you are not only as a teacher for your students, but also as a friend for your students.

SBY enters the Twitter area

Hallo guys, do you know what's different between Indonesia and the United Stated?? Guess what!!

Ok, have you heard that SBY (our Presidents) has an account twitter?? Right now you can say "Hallo" or you want to give comment to Presidents or you complaint about something, you can say it directly through SBY's twitter. You can follow him @SBYudhoyono. In the United Stated, Obama doesn't have a twitter account. So guys, this means that our President is open minded person. He has a personal account twitter  to engage more with the public. So, public can use it kindly, and don't use it in a wrong way.

20 Versions of the National Examinations to Prevent Cheating.

The Education and Culture Ministry says it will create 20 versions of the National Examinations next year to prevent cheating.
The multiple versions would mean that students would spend less time trying to spy their fellow students’ exams and more time answering questions, Education and Culture Minister Muhammad Nuh said.
“Students will be more focused,” Nuh said on Thursday as quoted by tempo.co.
Nuh said that honesty had always been problematic during the exams, which are given to students from primary to high school.
